In the South, humidity is an experience rather than just weather. This painting transforms a familiar phrase into a fogged-up window, the words traced through condensation like a message left behind by an unseen hand.

Part of my ongoing Foggy Window series, this work explores human presence through absence. The fingerprints, drips, and beads of moisture become a temporary diary, evidence that someone was here for a fleeting moment. The phrase itself is humorous and deeply Southern, but beneath the joke lies a meditation on atmosphere, memory, and the ways our environments shape us.

The colorful layers visible beneath the letters hint at the world outside the glass, partially obscured by heat, humidity, and time.
